The commitment was conveyed during an audience with the Minister of Villages and Development of Disadvantaged Regions and his delegation at the Main Lobby of the National Police Headquarters (Mabes Polri), Jakarta, on Friday (October 30, 2026).
The cooperation focuses on educating the public about the dangers of narcotics through the strengthening of the Anti-Narcotics Curriculum Integration (IKAN) program and accelerating the establishment of Drug-Free Villages (Desa Bersinar) throughout Indonesia.
These initiatives are intended to reduce conventional crimes, including theft, street violence, and other criminal activities that are often triggered by drug and alcohol abuse.
In addition to narcotics prevention, General Suyudi Ario Seto also introduced the Poliran (Police Care for the Unemployed) program.
Through the involvement of Bhabinkamtibmas police officers and village facilitators, unemployed residents, including individuals who have completed drug rehabilitation programs, will be identified and registered. They will subsequently receive vocational training through government Vocational Training Centers (BLK) before being connected with employment opportunities.
This initiative is expected to help communities become economically productive while preventing former drug users from relapsing into substance abuse.
The integrated program will also involve the Ministry of Manpower, the Ministry of Social Affairs, the Ministry of Health, and private-sector businesses.
Through cross-sector collaboration, the National Police aims to reduce crime rates, strengthen community resilience against narcotics abuse, and maintain a safe, peaceful, and conducive public security environment, starting at the village level.
