TANGERANG – The ongoing issue surrounding Street Vendors (PKL) operating in the GOR Gondrong area on Sawa Dalam 9 Road, Gondrong Village, Cipondoh District, continues to attract public attention. Residents believe that the matter extends beyond the presence of street vendors and also involves enforcement procedures, inter-agency coordination, and the use of public facilities within the GOR Gondrong area.
Based on coordination and interviews conducted by the media with several local residents, questions have emerged regarding an individual who has been referred to as the coordinator of the street vendors in the area. Residents are questioning the status, authority, and role of this individual in managing vendor activities.
According to statements from several residents of RT 04 RW 01, a person identified by the initials “KS” is alleged to play a role in coordinating street vendor activities at GOR Gondrong. Residents also stated that the individual is allegedly occupying a mosque or hall area located within the GOR Gondrong complex.
“As far as we know, the facility is intended for public use and for the religious activities of the Muslim community. Therefore, we hope that the relevant authorities will provide an official explanation regarding the use of the facility,” said one resident.
In addition to questioning the existence of the alleged vendor coordinator, residents have also expressed concerns about the enforcement procedures carried out so far. They argue that any effort to organize and regulate street vendors should involve direct coordination between the Public Order Agency (Satpol PP), the village administration, neighborhood leaders (RT and RW), and other community representatives who have authority and responsibility within the area.
Residents believe that proper coordination with local administrative leaders is essential to ensure that enforcement measures are transparent, orderly, and free from negative public perceptions. They hope that all efforts to organize the area will be conducted openly and involve official local government representatives.
“What we expect is transparency. If there is indeed a person acting as a vendor coordinator, then that person’s status and authority should be clearly explained. Likewise, enforcement activities should be carried out through official government channels,” said a community figure.
On the other hand, residents are also urging local government authorities and related agencies to conduct a comprehensive evaluation of street vendor management in the GOR Gondrong area. They hope that all public facilities will be utilized according to their intended purposes and that activities within the area will comply with applicable regulations.
Residents emphasized that the information currently circulating should be followed up through clarification and verification by the appropriate authorities. Such measures are considered important to prevent speculation and to maintain public confidence in law enforcement and the management of public facilities.
The community hopes that the Tangerang City Government, Cipondoh District Administration, Gondrong Village Administration, and Satpol PP will provide clear explanations and concrete measures to resolve the issues surrounding GOR Gondrong. Through transparency and proper coordination, residents hope that the area can be managed in an orderly, safe, and beneficial manner for the public.
